Our community hosts structured retreats open to individuals, couples, or groups, which run from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. They include conferences on the Faith and the spiritual life, daily Mass, Benediction, opportunities to pray the Rosary and Divine Office together, as well as time for private prayer and for the reception of the sacraments.
We invite faithful priests, reliably loyal to the teachings of the Church and the Magisterium as retreat masters. We are dedicated to honoring God by making the Sacred Liturgy beautiful and prayerful, as befits the greatest form of worship. We have not yet been able to finish building our retreat center, so at this time we are still using a temporary chapel when celebrating Mass, but also for conferences and other events. Therefore, out of reverence for the Blessed Sacrament and respect for those seeking a quiet place of prayer, the tabernacle is in a in a small adoration chapel behind the conference room.
Retreatants may register either to stay at Casa Maria, with meals provided, or they may find their own accommodations nearby and commute each day to attend the retreat. Rooms at the retreat house are double occupancy, with a private bathroom and shower. All our accommodations except the bookstore are ground level and wheelchair accessible. Please inform the Sisters of any special needs when you register for a retreat, and confirm whether you are staying at Casa Maria, and which meals you plan to attend here. We have limited space and need to be sure all such arrangements are clear.
We ask for $160 for individuals attending retreats, or $270 for couples. There is a $50 non-refundable payment made at the time of registration. If you will not be staying at Casa Maria, or not attending meals, please speak with a Sister about an adjusted arrangement. We can only accept cash or checks.
Our bookstore is open at certain times during retreats, or it can be opened at other times if you call us to arrange a time. If you do arrange another time to come to the bookstore, please come to the front door of the convent, so a Sister may open the bookstore door for you. Our bookstore materials are also available online.
